The BIST error indicates the Build In Self Test (BIST) for the device has failed and this indicates that the device may not function properly.
To resolve this:
Review /var/adm/SYSLOG for relevant messages.
Make sure your PCI devices are properly seated in your machine. Refer to your Owners Guide for instructions on checking proper seating and connectivity of the PCI boards.
Some devices may be testable from the Confidence Tests. Run these by going to the Toolchest and selecting “System” and then “Run Confidence Tests. Click on the icon for the device.
If the problem persists, contact your System Administrator or your service provider.
