This message has several possible sources. There is a battery on one of the system boards (the Real Time Clock - RTC) which may be low, or the data on that board may be bad. To address this problem try the following steps:
Check the time and date with the date command.
If you need to reset the date, refer to man date on how to do this.
If you have changed the time of day, shutdown the machine, power it off and then back on. Then reboot it and verify that the date remains correct.
Check the system log file for errors by invoking the system log viewer (sysmon) by selecting “System” and “System Manager” from the Toolchest. Then select “System Performance” and then “View System Log.”
If the problem persists, contact your System Administrator or your service provider.
