The File menu lets you load documents, move back and forth between loaded documents, and exit ShowPS.
“Previous” | Displays the document preceding the current document. Useful when several documents are open. | |
“Next” | Displays the document following the current document. Useful when several documents are open. | |
“Open” | Brings up the File Selection panel for selecting and loading a document. See “Opening a Document.” | |
“Reopen” | Reopens the document you are currently viewing. Useful for reloading files after changing Options. See “The Options Menu.” | |
“Print” | Brings up the Print panel. See “Printing a Document.” | |
“Exit” | Exits ShowPS. |

The Page menu lets you browse through a document or select a specific page using the Page Selection panel.

Bookmarks lets you mark pages for reference and printing.

The Controls menu lets you interrupt ShowPS before it fully displays a page.
“Interrupt” | Interrupts page loading. Useful if you open a page that takes too long to appear in the ShowPS window. | |
“Continue” | Continues page loading after Interrupt. |
The View menu lets you change the orientation and scale of a page and access a shortcut panel.
“Shortcut Panel” | Pops up the Shortcut panel, featuring buttons to press for File, Page, and Controls menu commands. See “Using Shortcuts.” | |
“Scale Selection” | Pops up the Scale Selection panel, which lets you magnify or reduce the page on screen. See “Magnifying or Reducing Pages.” | |

The Options menu lets you customize ShowPS for viewing PostScript.
To turn an option ON, click its box. A checkmark appears to let you know that option is on.
To turn an option OFF, click its box until the checkmark disappears.
